Liberty Square Government Center
Master Plan New Britain, CT

TBI Construction Company, LLC purchased downtown New
Britain urban renewal land formerly used as an
industrial complex and created an urban master plan.
This formerly vacant parcel is now the premier Class A
office space location in the downtown district.
New Britain has a long and rich history as a
manufacturing center. The site where Liberty Square
stands today once thrived with manufacturing jobs, but
for years after urban renewal it remained vacant. TBI
Construction, armed with a master plan, purchased the
land with a promise to create jobs. In addition, the
master plan served to support growth of the city’s grand
list and promote economic growth. Liberty Square is now
home to One Liberty Square, 90,000 square feet of
private office space and to the Department of Public
Utility Control, which occupies 65,000 square feet of
space. The site contains a 1,700 car, five-story parking
garage and a 190,000 square foot judicial district
courthouse. TBI Construction has the ability to build
additional office buildings on the site.
